Looks like a new version of Windows Mobile is being developed. According to InsideMicrosoft Blognews Channel, Microsoft is focusing heavily on user interface improvements. It will have support of Multi-Touch, an interactive touchscreen interface like the iPhone.
Windows Mobile 7 is designed to use the finger, not the stylus, though many devices will be required to include a stylus. It is designed to be easy to use with the hand, including one-handed, and to be fun to use and easy to understand. It is designed to be used on devices with no buttons, few buttons, lots of buttons, full keyboards, and devices without touch screens.
The screenshots look promising. Somehow, the screenshots keep reminding me of the Windows Vista interface. Have a look at them here. I am really looking forward to it’s release.
